The overall hotel itself was fine, but it did not list on Expedia that it was in Roxbury. Never would I ever have booked a hotel in Roxbury. I definitely would have paid more to stay in a different location.

Overall the property was clean, breakfast was good, pool was clean and open late, concierge was very polite. The surrounding area was a little sketchy but security at the hotel was very attentive and removed undesirable people from the property so they wouldn’t approach us. They made sure we were safe and that was reassuring.

Had a meeting in Harvard University. Upon checking Front desk is so filthy, Receptionist (lady) she didn’t even care to say hi or welcome. Hotel looks like sec8 shelter. I made reservation for King bed room, they gave me 2 beds rooms when I notified she changed and gave me physical handicap kind room. Upon checkin 1. Carpet is gross. 2 bathroom doesn’t lock coz the door is crooked. 3 No Bathmat. 4 Hair in bathroom. 5 Ice machine in 4th floor doesn’t work and is gross— some kinda substance all around ( underneath)the ice machine. 3rd floor Ice machine looks similar so I didn’t bother get ice. Had a flight in early more so just handed the key to front desk and left. Never gonna stay in that hotel

This property was decent, met expectations for a Hampton Inn and was perfectly fine. The problem is the area that it is in. Even though it is in a medical area (the hotel is attached to a hospital) the area is an open air drug use/market. Although we didn't have any issues with the drug users, it's rather disconcerting to see people smoking crack on the sidewalk. Again, this is not a the hotels problem, but Boston in general.

The hotel was conveniently located, however it’s two blocks from a main hospital so we heard ambulance and police every night, it’s right in the middle of the city. Park across the street has homeless people every night lined up but police presence was not much of an issue. The feel was not like NY , its was different here. The parking is right across the street very good The hotel was full many people coming in for college week and vacation.
