The room was very clean and the staff helpful. However, I will note that most of the light controls are on an iPad and you don't have the utmost control to turn on only the bathroom light or to even turn off the bathroom fan at all (that fan made it hard for me to sleep since even closing the door didn't cover the noise). The tv in my room never worked and I also didn't like the idea of the iPad having a camera and microphone - seemed like a lot of unneccessarily high tech controls when wall switches would have been easier to control However, I would stay again because it was so clean, right across from the subway, good area, and safe. The bed was up against the wall on one side, so there is only one side to enter exit the bed. I really liked that they did not have carpet in the room. I never heard my neighbors.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. With a breakfast buffet helps save money and is great, worth the extra money. Would highly recommend this hotel experience, and will be staying again.

This was our first time at a CitizenM Hotel. Overall, it was a very good stay. The staff are friendly and check in went smoothly. The room was very clean and the views from the 5th floor were great! The room is small but works for a long weekend stay. Bed and pillows were comfortable but I wish we had a top sheet and I didn’t like that I had to climb over my sleeping husband’s legs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. There are many choices of restaurants in the area and a new high end restaurant will be opening next door soon. The T is directly across the street for a quick trip to the North End for a yummy Italian meal! Newbury St. has great shopping and food as well.

Hip, clean hotel but rooms are TINY! If you are sharing a king bedroom one person also has to climb over the other person to get to the bathroom! Also the bathroom felt like it was in the room with zero privacy if sharing a room with another person. Room size would have been fine for one person but way too small for two people. At this price point there should be coffee in the room or free coffee in the lobby! I think that’s a huge miss. If there had been coffee I wouldn’t be writing a 3 star review. Really didn’t like the digitized check yourself in process without one person saying ‘welcome!’— same on check out. Cool lobby area for hanging out but too many weird compromises. Would not recommend.

Nice hotel, but with some issues

The hotel is nice and has excellent location. I had 2 problems: 1. 1st day no cleaning (you have to request through the app, and I wasn't told in advance). 2nd day I requested to clean up my room, and only towels were changed, the bed remained untouched. 2. There was a problem with the elevator and I couldn't go downstairs for a while (fortunatelly after half an hour or so, some nice staff took me to the service elevator)

This was a great location and property for a short stay. Room was small but efficient, largely self service but staff were friendly and helpful. Lobby/restaurant/lounge area was nice to get caught up on some work.
