Disappointing and overpriced.
I splurged on a one bedroom suite for a weekend trip to Boston for my 8 year old daughter’s Christmas present. We arrived to the beautiful lobby to check in and I was told we were in another building across the street. The building had no lobby, no door person, no people (we did not cross paths with any other hotel guests the entire 3 days). The entire hotel experience was not there, which is what makes hotels so fun, especially for children. There were no bathrobes and slippers, I called down the 2nd night to request them and was sent a robe with a massive hole so I had to call back again. I called the front desk a few times and the phone would just ring without anyone answering. It was an incredibly disappointing hotel experience for our weekend away together and I feel quite upset I spent so much money on this “hotel”. I absolutely would not go back to the Battery Ward hotel.

Our stay was great. The staff were no very friendly, however we didn’t come to Boston to see them anyway. We were not impressed with the restaurant. The staff never sat us at a table so we walked out. The hotel was perfect. The location is wonderful! We walked 20 miles in the few days we were there. So much to see in such a short time frame!

Overall stay was okay. Nothing to brag about. Location is convenient. The staff was decent. My biggest complaint is the charges and pricing and for a room with literally nothing in them. No microwave, no mini fridge, no trashcan. I requested all of these prior to my stay and nothing was there upon check-in nor the days after. My neighbors were extremely loud and when I complain to front desk, nothing was done about it so I had to go out there myself and ask them to quiet down. I check out and I see that there is a $250 charge on my card when I called to find out the first time I was told that they are unsure why there is a charge in they couldn’t help me and then disconnected the car in the middle of me talking. I then called back and spoke to someone else who was very helpful and told me that she could have someone from the accounting department reach out to me. I paid ahead of time to book my room a couple hundred dollars only to find out that there are extra taxes and fees that need to be paid per night at the hotel, which I thought is what we did when I booked the hotel originally the fact that they don’t tell you these things when you’re checking in or checking out is a little bit inconvenient and inconsiderate seeing that you will be charging these things and it says that that’s what you’re paying for ahead of time when you book the hotel room. This is my second stay here and it’s definitely going to be my last. I was very displeased with everything about this hotel.
