Had WiFi and bar with great burgers available! Room had a bed, shower, roof, and walls, which is all I needed. There's not much available given the location and place gets the job done!
It was dirty, smelly, the shower did not work, and the air conditioner was super loud/had problems. The guy that checked us in seemed like he was high. Grateful this was a late night check in to get a few hours of sleep before leaving early the next morning.
The staff and the restaurant were excellent and made every effort to ensure our stay was a good one. Food was great and convenient. There were no TV's in the rooms and the wi-fi we never got to work in our room. We had to be close to the restaurant to get it to work correctly. In the bathroom the linoleum was discolored and peeling up in places and the soap dispenser fell off the wall when I tried to use it. The bedding and beds were clean and comfortable. Overall, it is a budget motel with no frills. Based on the few selections near the park entrance this will do for a place to sleep for the night.
The staff accommodated a dinner for me tho the restraunt was closed. Wifi was way too slow. No drinking cups in the room or minimal coffee service. Room had spiders.

Very convenient for great basin national park. Seemed clean, not updated in some time. No frills but did the job. May want to bring a pillow.
Its quaint and the staff are friendly. Our room was super dated. Food was well-prepared but they only offered burgers and quesadillas when we were there. It's old and quirky. Kind of cool that it splits the Nevada/Utah boarder.
Great location for visiting national park. The air conditioner did work and water pressure was decent for an arid area. No TV and poor internet. Had a full oven and stove in the room instead. Decor was from about 1960 - panelled walls, linoleum bath, indoor/outdoor carpet, poor mattress and support. My wife made me promise “never again.”
We specifically chose Great Basin NP for remoteness and low visitation, so we knew coming in that there were no Ritz Carltons nearby. Border Inn was clean and the staff was very personable. No TV in the room, but that's not why we were there. The restaurant had a robust menu and everything was tasty. The store had everything we needed. This really is an oasis in the desert.
It was great! Joe, who was working in the night shift, was great! It is an old Motel, but room was clean and everything work inside the room. I would stay again!
We requested a non-smoking room with two beds and the one;y room they had available was a room with a single bed, smoking. The front desk gal tried to get a hold of the owner but she was off the property barbecuing. She could not address the issue or a refund so we elected to drive to Ely to spend the night.
I booked a “Deluxe Studio Suite” from Border Inn Casino for one-night of Aug 14, 2024. When I booked the room online, it shows the Deluxe studio suite is with 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. However, when I checked in the Inn gave me a room only with a double bed, which is totally not matched with the room I booked online. It is totally misleading online info.
