Not the worst hotel, but this one is in a state of disrepair. The hallways had not been cleaned in a very long time. Glass was cracked on the front entry. There is water damage in the ceiling of the top floor. In our room, most of the outlets didn't work and neither did the bathroom fan. The Red Lion Inn felt like a big Motel 6. However, our room was clean. The best part of our stay was our interaction with the staff. They were kind and attentive.

I received a call 3 hours before check in time from the hotel informing me that they accidentally double booked my room. Even though I had booked the room months ago. The only reason I was initially not upset is because they didn’t completely put me out. They did book another room for me with a balcony and complementary breakfast. Not the end of the world but it was kind of unprofessional and wrong for them to give the room away to someone who booked the room after me. My only gripe is that the room’s thermostat was broken and the room was kind of hot. Also, the property’s bar lounge is only open on weekends.

This place looks like it was probably nice at one point, but has become the result of chronic neglect. I had to switch rooms after hair and snot in my bed and pubes on the toilet. My second room also had hair on the floor and in the tub. The shower wall and tap were caved in.

I’m sure Red Lion was once a nice hotel, however time has not been kind. First appearance in the lobby was old & soiled furnitures, the bar was dark & dingy. Elevator was iffy. Our room was ok, bed was comfortable, clean area, however the tub/ shower drain was slow to drain. We had a balcony for fresh air, however the road noise was unbearable, cars racing into wee hours in the morning. Ice machine on our floor was broken & the breakfast was a bit to be desired. Hoped to use the pool, was not posted when we reserved that the pool was closed for the seasonThis hotel could be nice needs a lot of TLC.

Upon checking in to my room I noticed the room had not yet been cleaned. I went to the front desk and they politely gave me a new room and apologized for the problem. In my next room I noticed the safety lock on the door had been broken off and not replaced. Overall, the facility seems like it is not being maintained or upgraded.
