The hotel was not that clean. Breakfast is limited. Not the best. I’d stay at the Hampton but there were no vacancies.
I was offered a pet room, which I thought would be fine because I have a dog and cat at home, but there was a definite “pet” smell to the room. I was already so tired, I didn’t ask to move rooms but it might be something others might want to avoid
I was very uncomfortable with how the male staff treated the female staff. The female staff member was trying to help with a situation with my reservation the male manager came in, shushed the female employee when she tried to help, it was really unprofessional and I felt horrible for her, she was the only person actually helping the situation and her boss just came in, made a mess and treated his staff poorly.
They screwed my reservation so I took it in stride and offered to pay for an upgrade to what I originally had reserved. The night manager/ housekeeper say she couldn't upgrade reservations mass by Expedia even though I was willing to pay cash for the difference. The room I had asked for was available and the hotel was less than half full. The breakfast sucked with powdered eggs and a faulty waffle maker. Bad bacon.
Disappointed in Orbitz. I Prepaid for this reservation and when we arrived the Best Western agent told us "the Orbitz (Expedia) credit card has been declined"although we were charged and pre paid for room the Agent told us she "had to cancel and rebook us" until I could get the Orbitz/Expedia credit card to clear.
Check in person actually suggested Hotels.com wasn’t the best way to make a reservation, said calling the hotel was better. Said his direct rate was $5 cheaper than Hotels.com. Surprising…
