Beds where to firm for us, Hotel dance party went until 1230am and was to loud, pool was great and clean. Staff were all wonderful and helpful.

Nice hotel, staff fair. A lovely spot of Scotland
Reception staff friendly enough, other staff not so friendly. Lots of stairs so not good for families with push chair etc or disabled. There is one lift but you have to go right through the back to get to it. Restaurant was nice and good choices, dishes felt gritty and not clean. Room extremely hot and humid, no air con or fans. Toilet was tiny! You literally touch each wall when sitting on it. A beautiful setting and lovely view of the river. The pool and spa were great. We were in a family room, comfy beds but tight for space.

Small room, not that clean. Coffee cup had a lipstick stain on it. Bathtub was in disrepair. Burnt out lightbulbs in the bathroom, right over the mirror where you need it most. Staff was not friendly but not rude. Maybe indifferent? They didn’t seem to have customer service as a priority. Not even a bottle of water to be found in the room or anywhere nearby.

We only stayed one night but was very clean, extremely comfortable beds, better than premier inn. Generally showing some signs of wear and needing a little updating but if this doesnt bother you its great. Very good value and will be going back.

Birthday Treat
Booked in for an overnight stay for me and my little girl. She chose to stay at the Angus as part of her birthday. The service was amazing and we were made to feel so welcome. Can’t remember the name of the guy who was in restaurant serving the tables but he was lovely! My little girl thought he was a graduate from Hogwarts due to the “magic candle” on our table!! The food was really nice, so nice in fact that my 10 year old ate a full ‘Surf n Turf’… the portions were adequate and very good quality. The staff go out their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and are on hand if you have any questions. Having the pool and spa facilities made our stay a bit more special. Highly recommend for a stay 😁
