This hotel has really clean, comfortable rooms, wonderful food and walking distance to all the shops. Love staying here every time we are in Blackheath. Not 5 star but in some ways better. Certainly the price is fabulous for what you get

Nice, clean, well-maintained room with bathroom right on the highway but not at all noisy. Bar downstairs had live music on a Sunday evening and staff were good.

Old school hotel. Close to railway station. Rooms fairly small but adequate. Close to excellent cafes. Near the start of well-marked bushwalks.

We had booked a room that had a double and a single bed but when we arrived we found that the room we were allocated only had a queen. Staff then said that “Expedia does weird things” and that we’d have to pay the difference to get a room with more than 2 beds, which was the family room. Not very impressed. Aside from that the room was clean and very convenient to all the night life of Blackheath. The 2 meals for $36 was also very good.

The room was very pleasant . Lovely outlook to the street. The hotel was very central across from the train station. Close to shops and other amenities. Had a delicious lunch and a jazz band played in the afternoon! Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

The rooms and shared bathroom were genuinely nice and comfortable. Unfortunately our window’s pulley system was damaged so we couldn’t open our window and the car/truck noise from the street was fairly terrible and continuous all night. I imagine if your room is not on the street side, this wouldn’t be a problem though.

It’s very convenient that the restaurant is just downstairs with fire place, nice meals. Also the bar has a Friday karaoke, good atmosphere. But, the room is not as good: No A/C, freezing cold, in the family room, all bed got electric blanket, but on the double bed only half worked. So it was very cold! No extra blanket. It was freezing cold. I had to put our jumpers and the towels on the top of the bed to make me warm. Only one wood stick for coffee or teas. No mugs but just disposable paper cups. Very small toilet and bathroom.

Hotel is located in a good location with caffes and restaurants nearby, however the room we had apparently was on top of Karaoke bar which we had to bear the noise of Karaoke till 11pm on Friday night before they go quiet. It is also close to walking tracks nearby.
