Sadly, not the same hotel as past few years
The Vagabond Inn has always been our go-to hotel in Bishop. The rooms and beds are comfortable and always include everything we normally need for a satisfying visit. However, this past weekend there was no hot water in our bathroom and we had freezing showers. The hotel clerk told us some rooms in the back had no hot water but did not mention our room was also affected. They were booked up so they could not move us to another room for our second night. They did offer a discount to be refunded through Hotels.com, but I am unable to verify we will receive this refund. Also, their jacuzzi spa appears to be broken as there was no water in it. The clerk doesn't know much, is new to the area, and states "I haven't met my manager yet." Will most likely not stay here again.

There were a few glitches during our stay, that could have improved our review of this property. We could not get the TV to work, the phone in the room did not work, and it took a long time for the heater to get the room to a decent temperature.

Older hotel which explains the price. Had some bad reviews but we did not have any issues other than we were initially given a room key and halfway up the stairs with all our luggage we were called back and given a new set as the othe room already had a guest in it. Will pass on staying here again.

Great location. Walking distance to all of town and paths/parks. Great restaurants w/in a couple blocks (Chinese Food next to Taco Bell is Amazing; Schatts Burgers and Beers across the street also excellent with live music). Continental Breakfast was mediocre but as expected.
