Room fine, bed comfortable and everything was acceptable. We included breakfast in our stay but were not once questioned on the two mornings we were there if we had booked/paid for a breakfast (not checked in) in fact anyone could have walked in and helped themselves and nobody would have been none the wiser. On our second evening meal we decided to have a starter before our main meal, it was all bought to our table at the same time so had to ask the waiter to take our main course back while we ate our starter which took a while as he didn’t seem to understand.

A bit tired but convenient for the NEC.
Not great. A bit old and shabby. Unfortunately there was no hot water so couldn’t shower or wash my hair. No apology or compensation offered. The phones have been removed from the rooms and number advertised for reception doesn’t connect. I had to google the hotel! Crazy. No apology for coming to my room at midnight trying to sort the hot water which was a hotel-wide issue. Breakfast not great, everything very budget but the cold water was the main dampener.

Slightly away from the airport - an extra 5-10 minutes from their other site. You have to walk up to the flyover to get to the site. Cleanish rooms (the bathroom floor was stained and had small debris). The room I stayed in had air con. A sofa was in their too which you don’t often find nowadays. I would stay there again now knowing how to get there.

Walking to the hotel from the airport / train station - the walk through what’s a very industrial area seems a bit off putting at first - but it’s doable in about 10minutes and it’s simple enough. The hotel itself is pleasant enough. The rooms are pretty small and basic - but they are clean and mostly have all you need. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant served up food and breakfast at a fairly reasonable rate given the surrounding area. Very handy if you’re using the hotel whilst at the NEC or travelling via the airport - but probably not somewhere I’d stay for any other reason.

Was attending a convention at NEC, and needed somewhere to rest. Convenient and relatively close to the Halls. Breakfast was good. Typical standard with ibis, reliably clean and comfy. There is parking but I didn't need it.

Make sure you book the correct Ibis hotel near the airport. There is one w/in walkable distance from the airport, but this is not it. You could technically get there walking but need to take the train from the airport and walk another 5 minutes. Overall the stay was good and the food was pretty decent (restaurants are a good 15 - 20 minute walk away).
