Lush and welcoming.
Lovely comfortable and welcoming hotel. Reception staff exceptional in welcome and giving us our room early which was helpful for my tired grandson. Comfortable bar and restaurant. Not told about the out of hours menu which we would have used if we had known and expensive bar and food although no surprise for a city centre. Room lush and well equipped with drinks, toiletries and lovely towels and bed linens. Loved it. Great activity pack for my grandson.

As a regular Birmingham visit, we wanted try somewhere different, we were pleasantly surprised by the Crowne Plaza, the rooms have been recently upgraded and have all you need and more, we loved the design and comfort. We added access to the lounge and enjoyed the great hospitality, Emmanualle was a top host and kept the drinks flowing whilst the weather outside was wild, overall a great base to get to Brindley Place, The City Centre and Mailbox, will definitely be back again.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the lifts being refurbished which meant only one of three lifts were working and the one that was working was not working correctly so many people were using the stairs which is fine but if any of those suffered health problems like my partner who has asthma and chest problems it was really not great so very diythat the hotel chose to refurb these lifts during one of the busiest times of the year

Crowne Plaza Birmingham City centre
This was my second stay here, previously was 3 years ago. Check in was great, room was ready early so we could leave our luggage and head off shopping. Room was lovely, spotless. Star of the show was the beds! Linen was to die for. The comfiest quilts and pillows we have ever experienced! The bar said ‘happy hour’ which caused a bit of confusion as all the guests thought that meant 2 for 1 but it was actually 20% off a drink, but even so the bar area was lovely. We were greeted as we arrived for breakfast by the most amazing lovely member of staff. She was so friendly and happy and chatty. She really engaged with every guest who arrived which was lovely to see. Breakfast had everything you could wish for continental, fruit, cereal, juices, and a fantastic hot selection, ours was delicious. I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre.

This hotel is not the easiest to get to on foot from New Street station. But once you’re there it’s top notch. Great service from reception to bar staff. Also great room service … speedy and the food was good. Spacious rooms … loved the mini sofa!
