Wonderful

What i liked about the hotel was its distance from the venue we were attending. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk to the Hanger which was hosting the event we were there for.
The hotel itself was what i was expecting for the price but there is definite room for improvements.
We couldnt get breakfast either morning of our stay as the chef was ill, which added extra costs to our stay having to find a restaurant/cafe to eat.
The rooms could really do with a bit of TLC. We had a twin room with two single (very small) beds, im 6'2" and my legs were out of the bottom.
Tea/coffee facilities consisted of 4 single sachets of coffee and 1 teabag.
Both wall lights were broken in the room so only had the main light to work with.
Bathroom was adequate but realistically the bath needs removed and shower trays fitted. Bath surround was broken and sharp. Toilet seat was loose and cold tap in sink was running constantly unless you had the force to twist it shut.
Could do with a deep clean, floors were slightly dirty and i found a glove sticking out from the bottom of the radiator. There was a sign on the front door telling you not to slam the door as the glass was loose. Heres a thought, fix it.
Overall, to be honest, it done the job but truthfully like the advert on tv says "shouldve got a travel lodge"

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
No cleaner room last 3 days bathroom area good never saw member of staff after day of arrival and briefly second day. It suited my visit but would not use again
Fine for a cheap overnighter but so much they could do to improve
Lights without bulbs, mould in bathroom, stains on bedding and not ironed so made us think they weren't clean.
Good parking, tea and coffee facilities and hot shower

Property is clean and comfortable bed but the building and rooms are quite shabby looking
I love this hotel because it is quite unusual with lots of artefacts and antiques to look at. It is not a luxury hotel it is a budget hotel. I found my stay very very comfortable and it’s the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I will definitely be staying here again if I’m in the area. I was able to get an Uber to the city centre for £6. Thank you for having me.
Very small room freezing cold no heating had to wear a jumper in bed the room temp was a mere 12°c.No food or drink available.
I wont stay here again it has gone onto my list of Blacklisted Hotels
Love the quirky historic artefacts displayed around - suits the age of the property. Spacious and really clean room and bathroom, super comfortable bed. Great breakfast too and such reasonable pricing. Nice welcome and very helpful staff. Conveniently close to The Robin for our gig. Glad to have found this hotel and will definitely be returning.
We stayed at this property for the first time.. came up for the football match and will definitely be back ago.. great for bus route and uber.. very helpful staff and very friendly.. we did not have breakfast but it smelled lovely.. we will definitely book breakfast next time we stay.. thank you
The beds both had big dips in the mattress and were the most uncomfortable bed ever!
Carpets diry, dust and hairs on the surfaces. Toilet very difficult to get to flush. Shower not power at all. I would not stay again and definitely not recommend to anyone
Tv remote missing. I reported this to tecrption and they were going to sesrch for one. They never bothered to respond to.me. Room very noisy, bed right next to the window.. Heavy rain pouring from the guttering, down on to widow ledge . This came down like like a water fall. I had to make ear plugs to block out this loud, very noisy sound, right next to.my head.
Therefore I did not have a good night's sleep I Was hoping to speak to the person on reception this morning, but the desk was unmanned. Keys were left in a small post box.
