I will never stay at that hotel again.
I got there and it was run down the building was separate from the pool when I told them I had a handicap coming with me. I get in the lock was broke there was a bullet hole in the floor there was red stuff on the ceiling look like blood dried. The lady from check-in was so rude I had to have my mother go in and deal with her. Or as much money as I paid for my room I shouldn't have had a room like that especially with my handicap sister. Not to mention the bugs on the floor in the bathroom, and no hot tub. I had a video of the room when I first got there but it won't let me upload.

Looks like blood spatter on the ceiling. Dark red and color just look like a splatter.
Found bugs in the corners of the bathroom.

The staff are wonderful they all made you feel like you were at home. The property is well kept the housekeeping staff keeps everything very nice and clean. I enjoyed my stay and would feel safe referring anyone to this hotel. I know they would have a great experience.

The buildings outside appearance definitely needs updated. The inside of the room was nice and appeared to be updated. The staff was nice and the fireside restaurant was delicious! I'd recommend and definitely would stay again.

It is apparent there have been improvements made to the room, however, the quality of the work was poor or was cheaply done by someone with little experience. My daughter sat on the chair at the desk and fell on the floor because one of the casters was broken off. When we used the bathroom, the door did not close because the latch was missing and the door was cracked down the side. The curtain to the front window barely covered the window and there was a piece of tape holding it to the wall to keep it closed. The sink was new and modern, but the hot and cold pipes were attached backwards. This was the same with the hot/cold in the shower. Also not a fan of all the rooms opening to the parking lot. Overall, it was a “cheap motel” without the cheap price.

it is a days inn so I was not expecting comfortable beds. but these were VERY Hard beds. Stains all over the ceiling. Checked out a day early and a week later they still have not refunded the day we did not stay. They did refund the $50 damage deposit so I guess they think I wanted to give them free money for not staying?

Wonderful staff. The clerk gave us an upgrade to an absolutely gorgeous room. I highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay near the Birch Run Outlet Center. We just needed a stop for the night. We had not been aware of this hotel despite shopping the outlet center countless times. Never needed a stay. Love the fact that the bar and grill were open til midnight on a Saturday night. Didn’t try the pool, but I bet it was great.

Think twice- great Continental breakfast w Gina
We arrived at the hotel and the exterior was dirty and looked unkept. Upon walking in, the sheets had VISIBLE stains. There was a piece of the ceiling caulk hanging. One of the pillows had hair all over it. We looked for extra blankets in the freestanding closet and there was none. In the bathroom, there were water stains on the back of the door and the ceiling tile was moved out of place. Definitely looked like the ceiling had leaked and was fixed very shoddy. The best part was the Continental breakfast and Ginas friendly face. Easily the cleanest place we encountered.

The room was awful! Hair clumps, and dirt on the floor. The bathroom smelled like urine. You could not shut the door to use the restroom because the smell was so bad. There was black all around the shower including the ceiling corners. The door to enter/exit had food splattered on it. The walls were chipped and had stains.

The staff made up for the horrible state that this hotel is in. The first room given to us had a leak in the ceiling from the floor above. There was a pool water on the floor and the end of the bed was wet. We were moved to another room which was not in any better shape. The bathroom had ceiling stains. The shower had stains and chips out of it and the bathroom door had a whole in it like it was kicked. I had to ask for a hair dryer. We have stayed here in years past and it was always kept up. Not sure why the hotel went downhill but certainly would not stay there again. Felt sorry for the staff because they were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and the lobby and breakfast were great! Didn’t get an opportunity to eat at restaurant, so cannot give feedback on that. The room was ok, the air/furnace worked great and bed was comfy. The plumbing is why I gave a low rating. When flushing the toilet I was always nervous that it wouldn’t flush and the water pressure and cool warm water in shower was awful, I have long hair and it took way too long to have a shower while being cold the whole time.
