My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in The Bethesdan Collection Hotel. Very clean professional staff. The kitchennet suite our favorite. Although the hotel is nice, its located in the downtown area which is not for everyone but for most its a welcoming experience from the norm.So we plan to spend a week in the near future.

The property was beautiful and clean. My only concern was the amount of homeless people that lurked along the Wisconsin Ave stretch. It was a little unnerving. I did however feel safe in the property and will be staying again whenever there is an event at the Bethesda Theater

Pros: The property and staff were excellent. Breakfast was very nice and offerings were varied. Cons: The underground parking was a nightmare. No clear directions for the daily process of entry or exiting regarding payment. No instruction given at checkin. The parking garage was very cramped and turns were very tight. No instruction for elevator use. No instruction about a ‘tag’ the cleaning staff said we were to use because we had a puppy. No signage or room information to indicate where vending or ice machines were located. No room instruction or concierge info at all: Restaurants in the area or points of interest? The phone required a bit of reading to understand. No offer for assistance with luggage at all. These issues were frustrating.

I stayed here because I wanted to be close to DC. Short 3 day trip but the hotel was perfect for what we needed, room was cleaned daily. We came in and out as we pleased. Coffee spots are nearby, will definitely book here again for my next DC trip.

We did not have the best stay. The parking garage is very small and extremely tight. The front desk service needs work ASAP- not once did they welcome us in. Just simply stated: checking in? ID. We had a stain on our top sheet, stains on the lamp shade, make-up mirror was broken, and the shower head was spraying water everywhere. They were able to fix everything but the lampshade within a day which was nice. We had to ask for extra pillows as we were only given three standard size (very flimsy) pillows initially. I would recommend the beds to be replaced- both my husband’s and my hips were extremely sore after the first night and are still sore even though we’re home in our own bed. We ended up checking out a day early - the front desk didn’t even solicit or feedback or ask why we decided to leave early. Had they done so, we likely wouldn’t be leaving this poor review. The area is great- lots of great restaurants, I wouldn’t bother with their limited menu in house dining. The breakfast is $24!! Bethesda Bagels is a 7 minute drive or under 20 minute walk- fantastic (and HUGE) bagel sandwiches and pastries for a third of the price. Only about a 10 minute walk from the Metro. As a tourist- I would recommend the front desk provide a bit more information to guests on how to ride the Metro, as there was no one in the station to help us. We ended up having to google our questions. Next time we’re in the area, we likely won’t select this hotel again.

It’s nice enough, modern etc. Rooms aren’t that quiet. Doors slamming frequently. Parking is terrible. $40 and the garage was clearly designed by someone who’s never driven a car. I’ve stayed here many times. It’s a good bargain. Except the parking. Fu@k that. For $40 they should wash and wax it too.
