Restaurant was great, allowing us to bring our dog in. Food a little expensive. Room needs maintenance, sliding door wheels broken. Rooms have no sound protection , people hollaring and loud constantly till 11pm, then Randomly. Twice at 2 and then 4am a drunk tried forcing the door handle into the room. We have another reservation, its getting canceled, we wont be back.

Hoped it had been better!
We’ve always loved our visits here at the River House… but not this time ! When we arrived, our room was not ready… so we went and get coffee, then they texted us our room was ready after our long travels. We took everything up to the room, which was it the room we booked. We had booked way in advance for a king bed and they gave us two queens. Once we got in the room, I tried to call the office. The phone in the room did not work. They assured me if I waited for a while they could get me my king bed unfortunately we had a family function to go to, so I accepted the room with two queen beds. The next morning, we got up and used the coffee machine in the room to make coffee and it dripped all over the counter and all over my paperwork. Needless to say stay was less than perfect!

I had heard good things about the property. It was older & not as nice as I thought. It really felt like a retreat center that you’d go to for a church event. Things are very spread out. The buildings are almost like an older apartment building. Furniture was older too. I didn’t want to walk around on the carpet because it didn’t seem clean. Definitely don’t feel what we paid for the night was worth it.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Room was beautiful and had every amenity you could want or need. Swimming pool and hottub were clean and surrounded with great ambiance and music! The breakfast was so delicious, I don’t think my mouth will ever be happy again. We will be back.
