Old world hotel with updated amenities. Loved it!

The hotel was very nice! We had a private room with a lovely view of the corner to see a parade that went through the town. The building has the vintage feel with updated amenities. Would stay again!

My husband and I were attending a nearby wedding and this hotel was perfectly located for our one night stay. We were taken with the classic beauty of this historical building and the charming area. Our room was a suite on the third floor and while there isn’t an elevator we had no trouble getting ourselves to the room. The spacious room was very clean, well lit, and had lovely furnishings. The bathroom was also well stocked. Not that we needed it, but although the suite has a kitchen, there was absolutely no dishes, cookware or anything of the sort. The continental breakfast was so well presented and delicious. This truly was a wonderful find. The only thing that could have been an issue was the lack of hot water on the morning of our departure. It really wasn’t a concern for us so we didn’t even say anything to the staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to Tammany mountain and Blue Army. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The landlady is very kind and friendly.

Historical Belvedere

I just love the history of the place. Beautiful building, beautiful architecture. It has been updated very nicely, but still keeping the historical character. In keepers were super nice. The continental breakfast was sufficient. A room was clean and the beds were comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Would definitely go back and recommend this place.
King’s gambit brewing Company, right across the street. A must stop on the weekends.
Bridge and waterfall right down the road. It was wonderful walking in the morning.

I was driving into town from out of state, arriving Saturday night and leaving Monday. It was easy to book with hotel Belvidere, and I received a very convenient text on the day of with the check in and parking info, and wifi password. I was able to give them our estimated check in time, and I really appreciated that check in closed at 9pm (we arrived at 8pm). I didn’t get to explore the area much but it is a lovely, quiet town I’d love to visit again.
