The physical location was undesirable. Well off the beaten path. Keep in mind, this is my first time in Trenton and I arrived at night in the winter time so the drive may be different during the day and in other seasons. The lighting of the sign and building were on but wasn't inviting.
The wall paper was peeling away in various spots in the hotel room. The smell of curry was VERY strong as soon as you enter the hallway to go to the rooms on the 2nd floor (i.e. rooms that start with 2).
The shelf above the coat rack/hangers was dirty and did not want to use it.
Towels felt very cheap. They were very thin and felt like they were used for decades and have thinned out over time.
The decore of the room was very old and dirty.
My son asked the front desk where the exercise room was but was told he needed to ask maintenance. In what world does he need to ask maintenance about where the exercise room was and whether or not he could use it??
The paint on the walls and doors were not consistent. It looked like it was a half done job.
Toilets should be the elongated style.
Breakfast was less than desirable. After a couple of families, there were no more sausages left and only a few eggs remaining. Where is the staff to ensure that breakfast is adequately supplied??
In retrospect, I should have paid the $10-$15 more to stay at another hotel to have a better experience and feel to my stay.
I am definitely not staying at this location again.
