Super clean, very comfortable room!
I was traveling late at night and needed a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay. This was it! I've stayed here several times, and the rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and the employees are always friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located near the interstate (maybe 1 mile away, but easy and simple to navigate), and there's a great restaurant there that is open most evenings. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well.

The hotel is definitely dated and in need of some upgrades but for the price and proximity to Winterplace, it's perfect. The lady at checkin didn't seem very happy to be there. She wasn't rude or mean or anything but just acted like she didn't really want to be there. The waitstaff and bartender in the restaurant were great. Food was good. I'd stay here again.

Great employees and service
We arrived in a snowstorm. It’s a ski lodge so it suits that demographic. No nearby restaurants and the lodge restaurant wasn’t supposed to be open that day. However, due to the storm, employees gave up their time off to come in and cook for guests who were stuck. We were so grateful. All of the employees went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend this lodge.

Perfect place to stay ski!
Perfect place to stay and ski at Winterplace. Location could not be better. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and neat. They even had muffins for breakfast. We will use them again next time. Could not have beem better!!

Exceptional hotel
We arrived in a snow storm on a Sunday when the hotel restaurant was not supposed to be open. Because they knew the storm was expected, 5 employees came in on their day off to cook a limited menu. The staff were exceptional. The food was excellent. We couldn’t thank them enough for all they were doing for tired travellers stuck in a snowstorm. We highly recommend the Skyline Lodge and would love to stay again under better circumstances.

If you are a skier, this is perfect for you. If you are not, it still offers a restaurant, a full bar, and nice lake behind the hotel. Worth a stay and reasonably priced.

Good stay
Older motel but didn’t stink and the service was great. We didn’t have hot water one morning but it wasn’t a huge issue for me. Food and bar was fun and kids played pool for a while

The location for skiing at Winter Place is great, and the room was clean. However, none of the staff were friendly. The food in the restaurant didn’t taste good; we tried the ribeye steak and chicken Alfredo.

Peaceful with needs met
Friendly service. Meets the needs with beds, working facilities, a TV, and a refrigerator. Looks a little dated, but we stayed on the water side and it was peaceful and the view was lovely. We stayed in a double queen room and I found the mattress to be a bit too firm. Some sort of breakfast service would be nice, especially on holidays when next to nothing is open. Including their own restaurant.
