Staff at checkin was not the friendliest, although they did change our room when we told them the microwave was not working; and the woman attending the breakfast area was pleasant and kept the breakfast items well stocked. We were given 2 card keys, but only 1 worked, and in the morning, it was deactivated before checkout, so we had to go to the front desk to reactivate it. This took 2 trips to the office since the 1st attempt did not work! The room was OK (beds fine) with plenty of amenities and the heater was not noisy; plenty of ice at machine.

Close to Canyon Rim Visitor Center
This location is great if you are visiting the Canyon Rim area of New River Gorge National Park. While there is an on-site restaurant, you are just a couple of miles from lots of other options. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. No complaints!

The location is perfect and the hotel is clean.
This hotel is old, I think everyone can agree. Despite the age, it is clean and the employees are friendly. The location is excellent. The contential breakfast is fine. The bedding is good. We didn't swim or play tennis, but next year we may bring pickelball rackets.

Convenient motel for staying by New River Gorge.
Convenient location right by New River Gorge National Park. This was a motel style that did alright for our 1 night stay. Biggest complaint was the musty smell of our room since it is an old property. But beds & shower were updated. Clean enough, just dated.
