The hotel was very nice, great architecture, and in a convenient location. Very walkable. Comfortable beds. Our room had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, and the sunset was gorgeous. We were very near the rooftop pool, which would have been nice if the area was open. I understand it’s closed for “winter” but the area had lots of space, sitting areas, cornhole games, etc. that could have easily been enjoyed in the mild Louisiana “winter”, especially since there is no other courtyard or outdoor area to enjoy at the hotel. We must have been VERY close to the valet garage on the floor we stayed on (3), because we were awakened constantly by car horns.

My bathroom was so dirty. Ring around toilet, stains on sink counter, bathtub was dirty and rusty. We asked to be moved to another room and unfortunately, it had the same issues. The staff was very accommodating with moving us and checking on us, but we didn't want to keep changing rooms if they were all the same.

Rooms are not updated and smell a little.. Ours was a family travel, the door on one of our rooms was not working and went to the front desk and they had us change rooms... Our rate was pre-paid including breakfast but the lady at the restaurant said we were not on her list and made my wife & son pay for breakfast. They paid because they felt embarrased they way the lady at the restaurant was telling them to pay in front of other guests... When I went to the front desk they confirmed our rate included breakfast but that they couldn't do anything as it was different systems... I went to back to the restaurant and the under trained lady could not resolve the issue. I asked for the general manager, was told that he/her was not available as it was a day off for him/her... They supposedly called the food director a Mr Scott, after waiting for over an hour for him at the lobby he never showed up... I had to leave and continue my travel... Called back a couple of hours later and spoke to Marianne (I might have her name wrong), wgo said she was the front desk manager, who said she would take this matter to the appropriate people, and left my phone number with her... Nobody ever called back... In my mind they commited fraud on me... I tried to resolve this matter in good faith, but nobody from the staff seems to care about the customer.

No covered valet if its rainy you will get soaked to get in to the hotel ! The hotel is old and water quality is bad we get room with views to the river but the windows were super dirty you couldn’t see anything!!!! Not recommended at all

Upon arrival wayer stain toliet broken tissue dispenser and the toilet was having issues flushing. I was hoping for a refund or some type of reimbursement for the poor experience. The staff was EXCELLENT.
