Our room was clean but the property floors and areas were dirty. Staff was all sitting around in the morning in the lobby during the breakfast. It was strange. Not friendly. The gentleman that check us in was friendly.

Kendrick checked us in and he was wonderful! Funny and friendly. Gave us rooms close to one another. Hotel was located right off of the highway in a good location with dining options nearby.

Go elsewhere.

We tried to cancel the trip since we paid for travel insurance. The hotel denied us and did not give us a refund for the travel insurance. When we got there, the air conditioner didn’t work and instead of giving us another room they made us wait in the lobby for hours until it was fixed. The room was a non-smoking room, but smelled like smoke. The breakfast was kind of cold. The person at the service desk was nice. That’s about it. Overpriced for the experience. 2/5.

I personally never write reviews, but I can't help it for this one. Upon attempting to check in, we were not greeted. Instead we walked into the lobby to hear about someone being stuck in the elevator, and the manager being focused on that. We were eventually checked in mid-conversation over speaker phone with the attendant talking to an elevator technician. Not sure what came of that, but we took the stairs just in case. The hotel is dated, no big deal, most are. The room was clean except for the mirror by the entry door. The bathroom door had to be forcefully shut. The A/C got colder the more we turned up the temperature. The plunger for the sink plug was broken, so the sink took a long time to drain. The first morning the front door to the hotel barely would open a few inches, we had to turn sideways to get through. When we returned that night and tried to open the door, we were yelled at by the manager, in regular clothing, trying to say we broke the door. I would be fine with all of this if it were a cheap hotel, but I paid the same price as the numerous ones around.

The bed was fine but the bathroom was gross. The floors haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Still scotch tape on the room walls from something? Very gross upholstery on the lounger in the room.

The hotel honored my request of "top floor away from elevator " which was greatly appreciated. The front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly. Hotel beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet. I'd book at this hotel again when in Baton Rouge.
