I was very disappointed in this hotel. I typically stay at Livingstone Water Resort and Spa but I wanted to try the Golf Resort. The pictures were gorgeous and once I booked and paid, I received the email that the entire building was under construction. It was a mess and the place smelled. Not at all happy.

Lacklustre Customer Service

Had an issue right away as the room we were put in was not the room shown on hotels.com. They advised that picture is from their sister property. Also the shower curtain was a foot too short and water flooded the bathroom floor and my clothes got all wet. Front desk customer service was not good and they didn’t want to take responsibility for the issue. They did switch us rooms which was nice but the room was much smaller and wasn’t the premium room I paid for. This was all very frustrating considering we were staying at this hotel because we had no hydro for 5 days and needed some warmth.

Our room was renovated and on the main level with a king. At check in we were met with two friendly employees and was smooth and simple. The building was clean, very quiet, and comfortable. Despite extensive construction and the work being done in various phases, it did not interfere with our stay whatsoever. Normally I stay in the village but with all the traffic and commotion it wasn't worth the money. Despite construction, parking was not a problem and various key entry door were located so no matter the spot it wasn't far to a door.

Would have been nice if the website had informed guests that the building is under major renovations and that there are absolutely no amenities as advertised on website. Rates do not reflect this. You still pay full rate.
