Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything next door. Rooms are too hot. No real value for money and i expect a lot better for £160 for one night. On the plus side the staff are the only real credit to your poor hotel.

I checked in here on 28th October. i was not greeted by what could only be described a rude, non engaging reception you girl. This must be the 1st time a hotel front of house staff member did not speak to me or offer a welcome, just a cant be arsed stare instead. I was not asked if i wanted to eat in the bar / dining room, i was not offered breakfast or if i would like to open a tab. Simply unbelievable! Tankersley is a stunning building, but that is where it stops. Unfortunately, like many hotels, it is in need of a full renovation, its very 80's. however, the rooms are spacious and clean. Staff at breakfast were fantastic, from the greeting to register your room to the kitchen staff keeping the plenty of choice well stocked up.

Our room was towards the back of the building, so nice and quiet away from the wedding celebrations. The room was clean and comfortable, but very hot even with the window open, so that made sleep difficult. We had a lovely meal in the brasserie in the evening and breakfast was good (self service.)

Staff were great at check in but the room was so noisy. We could hear every word of conversations from a family next to us. The corridors are also noisy. Premier Inns are quieter! A real shame as the pool facilities are great as is parking and location but lack of a good nights sleep lets the hotel down

The property appears to be geared towards weddings at the weekends. Unfortunately we couldn't be put into a quiet room away from the entertainment. The bass was very loud indeed and after calling reception at 11.30pm, they did turn it down a little, which was appreciated (12.30 is when they have to finish apparently). Regrettably a group of young girls then came back to the adjacent room and continued the party until the early hours, which added to a very disturbed night. If you are part of the party and expecting this, I'm sure you'll be fine (tolerant), if you are expecting a relaxing stay, peaceful and quiet (at the weekend), I'd make sure they put you in the opposite end of the hotel to the entertainment. Would also be nice if a member of staff walked the corridors to check that everyone is being considerate in the early hours (2.30am is beyond acceptable).

It's shocking for disabled and elderly outside paths are very uneven and parking not great only one parking for disabled.thr walk in shower in the room was ideal but the chair and settee in the room were very dirty.the beds were very comfy though.but the constant humming noise all night long outside was not great so sleepless night..drove home tired not refreshed..won't stay again..
