Hotel was clean and the lobby was very pretty. We were delayed coming in and only booked one night here before we could go to our air bnb in Ostuni. We got in late and went out for a drink before settling in. Was strange that the front door was locked when we came back, with no option for key entry. We rang the bell and were looked at by staff for several minutes before finally someone walked over and let us in. It was usually windy and cold this particular evening. When we were let in the front desk staffer that opened the door was pretty rude and seemed very inconvenienced by having to let us in the door. It was a Friday night and there were lots of people still out on the town. This just seemed odd to me. The front desk staff at checkout the next morning was different and much friendlier and accommodating as we needed to store our bags for a couple of hours before setting off to our next destination

Hotel is in a central area. I loved that it was by the sea and promenade. Hotel was spotless and service was very good. I enjoyed the pool and gym areas as well.

Friendly staff, fantastic views from rooftop bar for late night drinks & breakfast. Handy location to explore Bari from. Art deco theme echoes throughout decor. Our room facing the back was lovely & quiet. Good sized bathroom. Would stay here again.

Everything is close by and easy to walk too including the best part - old town - the roof top pool was an added welcome because of the heat - we used both upon arrival and the following day ! I would highly recommend the JR Hotel Grande delle Nazioni! Located centrally along the boardwalk & within 10-15 walking distance of a old Town Bari and many great restaurants!

The hotel is perfectly located ( maybe not right in the of the oldest part of town but very near the opera house and right on the water!) the room was great! And the balcony view was spectacular. The rooftop pool was amazing but the gym is almost non existent. It would be ok for cardio ( there’s a treadmill, & stationary bike) but not for any type of weight lifting and no room for exercising. The hotel breakfast buffet was awesome I highly recommend that but skip dining in the restaurant for lunch or dinner …. Waiters were totally rude and unaccommodating (especially the female waiters.) we had a table of 6 our bill was $300-$400 and we were treated like “American scum” it was so bad at one point I used google translator to the male waiter & asked him to ask the female waiters to please stop being so rude to us as we are trying to celebrate my friend’s recent marriage in Florence. The drinks took forever! Water, wine, cocktails - u name it - we waited about 20 mins for each drink we ordered and when I reminded the waitress about our drinks we ordered she walked away with her hand up in the air like she didn’t have time for me and said “just wait!” There were 2 other tables sat in the restaurant- it wasn’t busy at all! One other thing to mention is that the shower in our room was located right in the center of the room and only partially private. So if you are traveling with a friend or someone u don’t want to watch you shower … I suggest asking questions about privacy
