This hotel has been in operation for a few months - it has a nice atmosphere, clean, easy access and friendly staff. Still some growing pains - service was friendly but a little slow - food was excellent All rooms open to the outside - not completely dark with some outside lighting - our air conditioner was loud. Room was clean and well maintained I am sure things will improve get though the next few months

Perfection

We stayed at the Trail Hotel recently and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. The pool was definitely a highlight. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We apparently lost power in the middle of the night on the last night but did not notice. They provided complimentary breakfast due to the inconvenience. Whether you want to experience the great bourbon trail or just relax all day at the hotel, this is a must stay.

Upgraded old-style motel, with average size rooms and exterior doors. Inconsistent service in the restaurant and at the bar. Enjoyed the pool during the July heatwave!

Trail hotel was amazing

Great motel. Nice seating outside the room. Great bar. Newly remodeled and very tastefully done. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

New property so everything looked great. Front Desk staff amazing, housekeeping didn't vacuum. No ice machines they provided bags of ice which left us trying to find places to keep ice. Pool area very nice but No bartender at pool bar the entire weekend. Restaurant food was over cooked.

The Trail Hotel was very nice and updated. The staff was not very knowledgeable on the area. No transportation or concierge to advise on various activities. The food was very subpar and not good. We had a view of the highway .. we checked in early and had asked for a room by the pool and was advised that it was more money. The room was $400. Overall a 3 star

The best that Bardstown has to offer.

I’m not a fan of “motel” style hotels. I’m still not, but it’s the best option in Bardstown. Nice pool, beautiful lobby, and the food in the restaurant needed more seasoning. The cleaning staff were very friendly and this was refreshing.

Was double charged on checkout. Had no blackout curtains in our room and lights shown right through. Shower didn’t drain very well. Restaurant was overwhelmed and half of my food was fresh and other half had been played mad was like warm. For the price it should have been exponentially better. As of now they are in desperate need of getting it together.

What a Gem and Vision of a new Property! This Place is Great. And so fortunate to be some of the New Guests. Location is Great! Rooms are small but well done. I would suggest to not leave an empty roll of toilet paper for new guests. I would suggest to have information on dining and information menus in the rooms. This made for a hassle to have to call or go in person to know hours and items. We did do the Golf simulator multiple times and this was a Huge Hit! Great Job to incorporate that. Not having any Draft beer is disappointing but can be an easy Fix for Future. For breakfast the mini market 5star directly next store (1 minute walk) was the Best Option as they have Excellent Fresh Breakfast sandwiches! Found it too cold, expensive and too Formal for Breakfast in Lobby esp when kids involved. Staff was very Nice and Professional! Hope one Day there can be a gym option. I wud def recommend and look forward to stay again as we come every summer to Bardstown! Great Job!

It has the upscale vibe, nice amenity's. Staff was nice. Rooms seemed small for a family but better for a couples stay. Needed a ice machine some where by the rooms. Bar was great
