Great location. Clean and comfortable hotel

A lovely hotel in a fantastic location, modern on the inside, comfortable beds, great shower and bathroom. A coffee machine and/or bigger cups would be good, we also asked for double bed and were given two singles. We asked for this to be rectified but it wasn’t. We could also hear every bed scraping in the neighbouring rooms in the morning when the cleaners were doing the rooms and you could also hear most cars and lorry’s early morning but it’s a quiet road with not much traffic. They were the only disappointments but it was wouldn’t stop me booking to stay there again. Great value and great location.

While the female member of staff was helpful, the overall ability of the staff was very limited The air con system was turned off and the rooms were very hot. I was told the system was off because it is winter here at the moment. This would be understandable had I not stayed in Barcelona 5 times already this year, between new years and now. All of the other hotels had air con operating during these times. The rooms were hot winter or not. The staff run on a skeleton crew. There is usually only 1 member at the front desk and their ability to action request is very limited. At best, this hotel is 3 star and I must say, even that feels generous. Calling it 4 star is liberty! I would stay here again only if all other hotels were booked up and I had no choice…it could be much better if they but only changed a few things but as it stands, this is no 4 star hotel.

This is an amazing hotel with an awesome location in the Gothic Quarter. Everything is very walkable and the L4 Metro station is right down the street. Our room had a huge terrace with a view of the Cathedral of Barcelona. It was a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. If you need quiet, though, this is not the place for you because the Gothic Quarter keeps rolling well into the early morning and the cathedral bells ring every fifteen minutes. I would love to give this place five stars, except that the HVAC in our room was ineffective, so it was hard to get good sleep. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Your winter is nearly our summer

Lovely hotel beds very comfortable breakfast excellent only issue was air con was set to heat and could not be set to cold. For us Northern Europeans the room was too hot for a good nights sleep even though we had air con turned off. Apart from this hotel and its location was excellent

A base just to sleep after exploring the city

Great location in the vibrant centre of the gothic quarter of Barcelona. The room was small, but clean. The hotel doesn't have a bar and there is not a mini-bar in the room, just a vending machine in the foyer. However as a base just to sleep after exploring the city it was fine for a couple of nights.

Clean, helpful staff. Wonderful location with Christmas Carol and light show around the corner. Quiet room, wonderful breakfast. If you prefer gourmet type food and drinks, the hotel buffet at €16 is a much better value than other breakfast places. Parking wise, pay more and avoid Blue Land Princesa. I parked there because I didn’t know I needed to reserve one day ahead for the cathedral and other underground parking (€110 for 3days around Xmas). The blue land price was better at €60 for 4 days but the spaces are extremely tight and one of the entrances is not accessible at busy times, making it difficult to find the other entrance which is hidden by construction. Took me 30min. The exit for the parking is also very tight with almost every corner requiring a 3 point turn. I had a medium size car.
