You have to lift your suitcases up many stairs. The lifts do not go to the floor your room is on and there is not a bell bit to help you. Staff were friendly and food was good.

Well located, but far from a 4*
Good location, walking distance to everything you need. Given service a 3/5 because it was dependent on staff on set days, some if which were great, others less attentive than you would like from a 4* establishment. Great views from some of the rooms, nice little bar area with lovely views from outside. Overall, a decent place to stay a few nights but we'd be surprised if this was a 4* if reassessed, felt more like a middle of the road 3*.

The building is old with some lovely features and the rooms are spacious. The staff are really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and good quality ingredients. My 7yr old said it was the breakfast of kings. Highly recommend and will definitely be back
