First place I ever stayed in Bangkok, and I have been back a few times. Connected to the Anantara, which is right on the river, and I believe a sister hotel, the rooms are not quite as nice, but still very good. Cheaper than the Anantara, and depending on the type of trip you are having, I may prefer this. Beautiful rooftop pool with a view, rather than a ground level family type pool.

Use of the river shuttle made moving around easy. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The small shopping plaza in the hotel complex was a bonus with a seven eleven and food outlets. The breakfast selection catered for all tastes but the restaurant can get busy at the weekend which may cause delays in being seated however the staff make every effort to seat people quickly.
