Our room faced scaffolding and you could hear elevators all night. I called front desk they said they had no other rooms. They should not have sold that room for $1000 that condition. Outside the room is a large tub full of towels and you smell vinegar.

The Rimrock in Banff was the perfect end to our family vacation! We booked last minute, as we needed a break from our RV trip. From the moment we pulled up, staff was fantastic. They helped us park our oversized vehicle; offload luggage; and gave phenomenal tips on what we should explore. I was also incredibly impressed that each staff member we interacted with, was animated and happy to talk to/interact with our toddler! Carmack, Ulrich and Lockie (I’m sure I’ve spelt all those wrong) were who we interacted with the most, and we were just so impressed by their friendliness and professionalism. Some reviews mention outdated furniture; and while yes there is wear and tear, to me it looks like the kind you’d see from repetitive disinfectaning/cleanings of the leather furniture—something I’d prefer 100x over fabric chairs when you’re unsure of the last time they were cleaned. Overall a 10/10 stay, and we will definitely be back!

Rimrock Resort Hotel was what I had hoped for and I especially liked the mountain view in my hotel room selection. There are some amazing views all around the hotel. You receive free shuttles from the hotel, and, local shuttle which makes it very convenient to get around. The town is not far which made it fun to visit, have a good time, and not worry about a long journey back to the hotel. You have the gondola right next door which is a must. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and made my trip relaxing and enjoyable.

There was smoke in the room and hallways all the time, especially during breakfast and dinner times. The smoke perhaps came from their restaurants upper stairs and they need better venting systems I think. Such contrary to the the super clean air outside, the inside smoke gave us headache and sleepless night. Also, the inroom beverage and food charge instruction wasn't clear. There were 3 different types of water and since there was no mention for the 2 plastic bottled water we took them as complimentary as other cheaper hotels offer but I was charged after we left.

Quiet property but nothing extraordinary/exceptional, and not close to the heart of Banff with stores/restaurants etc. Staff are professional, helpful, and courteous only if you meet the right personnel. Thought we had a nice stay until I had to deal with the run arounds & uninterested staff due to unauthorized charges. If you search for lower ratings on Google, it looks like others experienced similar issues.
