Property is dated and needs an upgrade. Rooms are basic, hotel washrooms were not working and bar closed at 9 and none of draught beer taps were working. Disappointing stay.

Good location and clean. Hot tub renovation went over time expected and affected our stay; we were offered a hot springs voucher, but we didn't have time for that. Flat-bottomed sink in bathroom causes water to splash back at you. Tight sliding door opening to shower, and the design allows for water leak. Parking spaces are somewhat narrow and clearance is low. Watch out for pipes if you have an SUV or minivan, when opening your trunk.

I’ve only stayed at Elk & Ave in Banff, so I might be missing some context, but I expected a cleaner place to be honest. The room had this lingering, dampy smell that bothered me a lot. Maybe it’s just the winter, I’m not sure. But it is soooo convenient that it might worth it for a couple of days of stay. The staff was super nice and the lobby is amazing.

The room itself is ok, the washroom is big and clean. It locates right next to the IGA ( grocery store) and the Main Street where planty of resultants and cafes ca be found. The real problem is the noise. Not sure it’s the ventilation system or something else, it’s there for the whole night. We turned off the heating fan/AC and the noise doesn’t go. It’s hard to fall asleep. Additionally the TV has Netflix and other streaming services however you have to use your own account. The noise will be the main reason that I won’t come back.

Highly recommend this hotel when traveling to Banff. It's along the main road and it's very close to the town center. Underground parking is convenient as long as it's not peak season as it is first come, first served. Hotel staff are very helpful. Checking in and out process is very fast as well.

Great staff, great location. Property is tired and in need of full renovation. Small TV with lousy channel selection. No decent seating in room. Twin bedded room but no- at bed- light switch to turn reading light on or off. 2nd stay at hotel. Despite a wonderful staff and location I cannot recommend nor will I stay there again.
