Relatively new. Rustic wood burning fireplace in the lobby. Parking was convenient and easy. Located in a quiet area of downtown Banff. Got a convenient 3 day bus pass to explore downtown Banff. I imagine would be really walkable in the summer. Breakfast was really good at the restaurant in the sister hotel too (Hotel Canoe). Incorporated some good environmentally friendly concepts . Only downside would be the loud ac.

We had a wonderful stay at the Otter Hotel in Banff. While everything isn't open yet at the Otter, we enjoyed access to the Canoe's sauna and pool. Being the first hotel in Banff, is conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from town and across from a bus stop. They even provide a free bus pass, which is very convenient. The Canoe and Otter both have restaurants, and we had a delightful breakfast at the Canoe. The staff were kind enough to keep our luggage after we checked out, allowing us to continue exploring. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend the Otter Hotel for anyone visiting Banff. --- How's that? Feel free to tweak it to better fit your experience!

The check-in process was smooth, and the staff greeted us with warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with all the modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the views from our window were simply breathtaking. Overall, our stay was beyond exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. Will definitely be returning soon!

Still under major renovations, mountain view room overlooking construction and a roof. Girl who we spoke to first was very vague and not very hospitable, very loud hallways that echo in the room, construction everywhere. Evening staff much more attentive, beautiful lobby, free parking is wonderful.
