Overall a lovely stay

The Mount Royal is in a location with a view that can't be beat! It's right in the heart of downtown and very walkable. Unfortunately one of the hot tubs was down for maintenance and the AC was broken in our room. They did try to fix it, and since they couldn't we were able to move rooms, so we appreciate that accommodation.

The hot tub and Cascade lounge don't live up to the photos. The tub water is warm, not hot. This may be fine in summer but not when it's cool or cold. The area is dark and not inviting when the sun goes down.

Great Stay

Great stay - love the outdoor hot tub after skiing, though only one working and 4 person limit obviously creates an issue. Restaurant was very good for breakfast. Great lication, nice room, all in all nice stay.

The hotel is in a great location and is nice inside however the walls are extremely thin so we could hear everything from inside and outside all night. In addition, unfortunately one of the hot tubs was out of service and we were only notified the day before arriving so could not switch our hotels as this was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. They also did not have a process for using the one hotel (max 4 guests) so we were often just sitting waiting to use it along with lots of other people.

This was my favourite hotel for quite sometime I’ve stayed here three times previously and was there a few years ago and it is apparent that the building has aged and weathered. Only one hot-tub was functioning and though our towels were replaced when we requested a room cleaning nothing else was touched. Likely will not return to this hotel.

Mount Royal is well situated for easy walkable access to the townsite. There’s Plenty of parking available, even for oversized vehicles. Brazen restaurant offers a very reasonably priced Date Nite Wednesday with a fantastic set menu.
