Very good for the budget conscious. Staff extremely responsive. Security could be better - there were no incidents, but there is no lock on outside doors to the buildings. Anyone could come in from the outside to the corridors. These units are a bit worn and dated (carpets, furniture etc.) but overall very good value for the price for those who are there to enjoy the outdoors. The working fireplace and stacked wood a nice touch.

Check in
The person checking us in was not very friendly… almost eye rolling a couple of times when I didn’t understand what she was saying. Very upsetting.

We had the room with a pullout couch, which had springs poking out from everywhere. The hotel itself was very dated , our room had staining on the walls, missing cabinet doors and was overall really run down. I would not pay the premium that seems to be the going rate and would look elsewhere next time I stay in Banff .

The card to open the door for your room not working, went to office twice to fix it, the washroom air fan not working and tv not working.

Hotel is a bit dated, but makes up for it with the comfort of the suites and all the amenities provided. My toddler had a blast on the water slides and in the play place.

We stay here for two days with family and young children. The hotel price is affordable and enough amenities for a short stay. Our children like the pool, outdoor hot tub and indoor playground. We travel with our truck so it is convenient to drive 5-10 minutes to Banff downtown for nicer restaurants !

Stayed with my family of 5, for 2 nights. The reviews and indoor play place, really sold us on picking this hotel. I don’t understand how this resort has such high reviews as it does not deserve it. The units are extremely run down, vanities are missing doors and the main coffee table within our suite was so jagged from falling apart that we had to move it outside to prevent injuries. There was an overall dirty feel, dust throughout the room and old, worn out bedding. Our family was very uncomfortable staying there. The chimney/stack of the wood burning fire place is too small for it so we were completely smoked out. We did let the front receptionist know of our woes the morning of day two and she could care less. Asked for a new room as our eldest son was having a hard time with the smoke/smell, she had the maintenance worker come “look” at the fireplace instead. He was a friendly, nice guy but nothing he could do on his end. The play place was great for the kids, it seems to be in better shape than anything else in the hotel. Waterslides were fun for the kids, also starting to show their age. The water feature in the toddler pool doesn’t properly work and has paint chipping away. I will not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel.

Good amenities but run down.
We booked for the indoor playground. It was good but very dusty. The outdoor hot tub was also a reason we booked. Pool/hot tubs were nice but a bit grungy. To be fair the pool were to be closed the next week for cleaning and maintenance, so maybe just bad timing on our part. Over all the hotel was old and in need of renovations and repairs but fair clean and comfortable even if outdated.

This hotel provides family-suite room, with kitchen facility and utensils. They also has water slide and heated outdoor pool for room guests. Excellent value for money. The only challenge was the parking spot next to wooden ramp, causing the front-right door cannot be open. Other things are perfect.

Awesome indoor playground and large suites
Great for families. The hotel is older and a little run down but still clean and comfortable. Our loft was spacious and we loved having the full kitchen and wood burning fire. Indoor playground for kids was a huge hit as was the pool and waterslides.

It was dirty in the unit we had. Stove barely worked, dishwasher full of old water in the base. No recycle bin. Old and outdated furniture and fixtures. Even the pillows were gross. I would not stay there again.

The property is just in need of a big facelift (which is currently underway). The facilities are clean, just dated. Room itself was great - all working appliances, clean area, full kitchen, wood burning fireplace. Good staff, great location, close to town center but on Tunnel Mtn so it's nice and quiet!

A review from a mom of a 2.5yo and 3mo. This place is extremely run down. The price does reflect this to a point, however I would not stay here again, it was that bad. Furniture missing drawers, the living room coffee table broken and jagged (hazard!) and I wouldn’t dare walk around without shoes or socks as the interior flooring is carpet and very gross. Everything in the room gave us the creeps and cleanliness was so poor. We found other peoples sock and an old bandaid by the headboard. A piece of rock from the fireplace facade was duct taped on. We love the idea of the amenities for the kids, but the waterpark is filthy as well and very run down. The whole place needs a renovation bad. We love the local bus system that you get access to; and we like the location as well as it’s far enough away from the noisy downtown that Banff can have. Overall, don’t do it… not til it’s renovated.

Beautiful location, just dated and not as clean as they could be. Having said that, the price is right for a rustic mountain retreat. You can’t beat the location for hiking or biking right out your door.

Me and my family stayed for 3 nights. The two water slides, outdoor hot tub and inside hot tub. Kids were pumped. The only thing is that they don’t open the pool area until 2.30pm, which we could use one more time before we left. Or maybe open the outdoor hot tub only. My suggestion. The room was like a little condo. Great for our stay. We got a great price.
