What a cute place to stay! Very clean, updated, quiet. Easy mobile check in. Got coffee and tea from Canoe Hotel across the street. I would stay here again 🤗

I recently stayed at this hotel in Banff, and while it had its highlights, there were a few areas that could use improvement. First, the positives: the room was clean and well-maintained, with a modern interior that made for a comfortable stay. For those on a budget, it offers one of the most affordable rates in Banff, which is a huge plus given the area's pricing. I also appreciated being able to use the amenities at the sister property, Hotel Canoe & Suites. Additionally, the bath products provided were from Rocky Mountain Soap, which added a nice touch of luxury to the stay. On the downside, the check-in process was a bit of a hassle. I received an email with instructions to use an app for mobile check-in and key access, but the app didn’t always work, which caused some frustration. Another downside is the hotel's location. It is a bit farther from the town center than I had anticipated, so walking to restaurants or shops wasn’t as convenient as I would have liked. Overall, while the hotel offers good value for the price and the amenities are solid, the check-in issues and distance from town are things to consider when planning your stay.

Quick stay in Banff

Stayed for one night while skiing in banff. Have stayed before at sister hotel, Banff Canoe and Suites and enjoyed it - so figured why not?! No frills motel that was clean, modern, and quiet for a Saturday night. Check in was at sister hotel (not convenient but for price point I wasn’t fussed). Check-in was pleasant and smooth. Parking was ample. Modern amenities such as underbed lighting, comfy beds, soft towels and small fridge in room. Flooring was odd (like a camouflage tile 😬) but it’s a floor and it was clean.

Well priced extra clean property, 100m from gas and convenience store. Everything works and is newish. You have to register at canoe hotel so one star off for service but on balance it is excellent with very reasonable price.

Great stay.

Everything about the stay was wonderful! Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and newly renovated. The only downside was the clearance height required to enter the parking lot, considering the truck we brought was significantly higher than a normal car.

Room was decent and competitively priced. Room was icy cold on arrival. HVAC was noisy but effective. Hard floors took forever to warm up. Shower has limited water pressure and facilities was sent but not much changed. A more suitable shower head than a small rainfall head might make a difference. Expected more given the price a And affiliation with canoe

Exceptional Stay at Dorothy Motel

I had an exceptional experienced at the Dorothy Motel! The room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The location was peaceful yet close to everything I needed. I loved the cozy outdoor area, and the hot pool—such a nice touch! I’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! 👌

Christmas break

Rooms are clean, tidy and more roomy than they look, staff are excellent, had problem in room so spoke to front desk was fixed in 15 mins, you also get to use amenities at other hotels in Banff that are owned by the same company
