Family's first time in Banff

The staff and service were excellent. We had a 2 bdrm suite booked for 7 people and there were only 4 towels total in the room, but the staff delivered the rest of the towels needed promptly. Everything in and about the room was out-dated, worn out, and uncomfortable, not to mention we basically had to tip-toe just to keep the floor and stairs quiet, but the location was great.

It was difficult to regulate temperature in room. Fitness area Very disappointing!! Machines broken and no ventilation….. ALSO didn’t open until 8am- not convenient at all. It was very overpriced for what you got!

Terrible pillows, overall experience worthy of a $100 room not a $500 room. If you want to charge Banff rates at least deliver the quality that those rates promise. You should be ashamed of what you’re doing, just a cash cow.

I loved the 2 bedroom suite. It was a home away from home. We only stayed for the night, so didn't try all the amenities, but I would definitely stay here again!

Likes: The staff was amazing -courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, informative and fun. The desk staff and especially the restaurant. The food was good to very good as well. Dislikes: Tired and outdated rooms. Our suite was so uncomfortable and cramped. Bed took up entire tiny bedroom but no closets or dressers and NO place to put suitcases - no stands. Suitcases and clothes were scattered around the living area. Bathroom crampy as well. Looks like no remodeling in decades. We made the mistake of getting a suite with a kitchenette we didn't use. WiFi was terrible to non-existent, weak signal at best to dropping out every few minutes. When we complained to staff, they concurred and said their complaints went unanswered. It looks like management has put no money into upkeep or modernization in decades. Location is bad as well, a pain to get into the town you can't park in. I would never stay there again, especially with so many other great places in town.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but truly feel it is necessary for such terrible quality for what we paid. I’ll start with the good 1) Good Location 2) Easy Parking The bad… 1) The smell of our room was horrible - it smelt like something had been left rotting for months and was removed right before we checked in. The smell didn’t go away. 2) Completely run down - they clearly put in 0 effort on upkeep. We paid $400/night and it was dirty Motel 6 quality at best. Walls were completely bare and stained from where pictures used to hang. Holes or random nails in walls all over with no attempt to repair/cover up. Kind of bizarre to see. 3) Poor service. Staff were annoyed at very basic requests and clearly did not care if guests had poor experience. Just all around shocked how much they charge for what they offer. If it were a cheap lodging option I would understand & accept the conditions, but it’s not cheap!! Stay here if you want to be depressed on vacation because it was very sad & depressing. Also nothing like the pictures they show.
