I don’t usually leave reviews, but my recent experience at the Marriott Hotel in Baltimore was so unbelievably bad that I feel compelled to warn others. This hotel is nowhere near the standard you’d expect from a Marriott. First, the bathroom was in horrible condition. The toilet had a persistent leak, and every time it flushed, there was a puddle forming around the base. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. The cleanliness of the entire room (and hotel in general) was beyond disappointing. The carpet was filthy—I wouldn’t even walk barefoot on it. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, stained and grimy throughout the room and down the hallways. The bed was horribly lopsided, making it nearly impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. The mattress sagged on one side, and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable, offering zero support. I woke up with a sore back and a stiff neck both mornings. Overall, the room felt like it had been neglected for a long time. From the poor maintenance to the general lack of cleanliness, it was clear that no care is being taken to keep this hotel up to any sort of standard. I expected far better from a Marriott property. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

Valet was a plus! Walking distance to the Convention Center. Teenagers can walk to 7-11, Dunkin or Royal Farms and still be within sight of parents. Cute pub 2 blocks away and they were open late. Clean rooms! Good, friendly service!

I arrived around midnight and was greeted by a very nice young man. Every time I came into the facility or left, I was greeted with a smile by all the staff members. It was a great experience. My room was spacious and nice. The temperature was really easy to control too. The breakfast was nice. They had a lot of options: breakfast sandwiches, eggs, sausage, hard boiled eggs, waffle station, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc. I also used the gym. They have weights, a bench, a few treadmills and bikes and a jump box. I thought for a hotel gym it was really nice. There is one set of each weight so if you have too many people in there lifting, there wouldn’t be enough weights BUT I don’t imagine it ever gets too full. The area around the hotel is pretty good. I never felt unsafe but it is Baltimore so there were a lot of sirens driving close daily.

Overall good. However there was a test fire alarm. That should have been told during check-in. I was running a super important meeting and has to tell or mute for over 15min. Had I know I would have not done it in my room. There were 30 people on and I was the one presenting. I am a member and love the brand but that was completely wrong. I would kindly request some compensation for this as this was a very important meeting and the alarm started 2min after I started so I couldn't move and leave the building. Also I never received my receipt. I've received so many emails for my survey but no receipt and I've emailed requesting it. Staff are great at this location!! Breakfast was great as well.
