A really lovely hotel with great decor, lovely rooms, great staff, a very good bar with great beers and first-class food and service. The only issue was we stayed on a Saturday night and there was a nightclub across the road playing loud music until nearly 2am which kept two of us awake. I guess that’s always going to be an issue in a city centre.

The Padre is a vintage hotel that has the character of an early 20th century hotel with all the modern amenities you would expect in premium hotel. the staff is very friendly and accommodates every need. The bar is awesome! I stay at the Padre every trip to Bakersfield.

Good basic room

The basic room was cute. At first we got put into a room that was a little beat up and the shower was clogged. I called down to the service desk and the gal was super friendly and immediately changed us to another room.
