Best spot in Avila

Amazing Stay! The staff at Avila La Fonda Hotel were incredible—so friendly and welcoming. We loved the homemade croissants in the morning and the pie and ice cream in the evening. Beautiful rooms just steps from the beach, with great food spots nearby. Highly recommend!

the picture don’t do justice for this hotel. This hotel is so cute, pets are welcome on the first floor, and staff are great. Throughout the day hotel offers pastries, cocktails, pies with ice cream and a charcuterie board with wine. I would definitely recommend and return back with my dog. Paulina is an amazing host made us feel right at home😊

This property is unique, and the staff members made this visit pleasant. The hotel is small and older, but maintained in excellent condition. The common area and rooms were clean. The location is perfect. The front desk staff member, Paulina, went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Our party interacted with her throughout our stay. Paulina gave us recommendations for places to visit and always greeted us with a smile. This type of customer service is a rarity in today's society. The freshly baked pies and croissants were always a good treat. I will be staying here when visiting the area. Paulina, we hope to see you when we come back and with the same enthusiasm.

Great service and they have 4 different services throughout the day from breakfast to pie it was excellent. They also have a gift basket waiting in the room as well as a gift on departure. Great location near beach and restaurants. A bit outdated, but that gives it certain charm.

The croissants, snacks, wine and cheese and the pies! The hotel atmosphere and comfortable rooms and the proximity to the beach are great. The restaurant choices are limited in the immediate area (Pismo has more to offer if you want that). We have been to La Fonda several times and would go back again for sure!

This little hotel is such a gem in the quaint little sleepy beach city of Avila. We stayed for our 21st wedding anniversary and loved it. Every part of it. All the extra little treats for guests throughout the day and how it felt like a little community. Your staff is so friendly too! The only complaint I have is that the only good lighting to put makeup on is in the bathroom and I’m only 5 feet tall and the mirrors are so high that I had to stand on my tippy toes to put makeup on haha. If we can lower it an inch or two, we’d be golden. It’s more of a “me” problem though, that’s why I didn’t deduct any stars. Thank you so much for the hospitality and all the extra little perks we received. We’ll definitely be back!

This is such a little gem. Quaint and charming Spanish decor. Only one half block to the beach. Free happy hour, coffee and pastries and late night pie with ice cream. Plus a complementary basket of goodies upon arrival. I could not recommend this place more. It’s adults only so very quiet and peaceful.
