Nice hotel and very nice staff, it’s not a pet friendly hotel as advertised. They just ALLOW pets, so no dog park or even an area to walk them. There is a park close to the hotel that they promote.

The guy who have the blue Mohawk was very helpful and professional….. the only thing that I had was a couple of ants and a dead roach, but other than that it was a great room and better than I expected and I got a great night sleep….. my wife enjoyed the A/C …. Would definitely recommend this place … oh the food places are close by

I enjoyed my stay. The building is old but has been fully refurbished inside in a cheerful quirky style featuring Austin musicians. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic, the room was well equipped, and the breakfast was adequate. (I am not a fan of biscuits and gravy). The new restaurant within the hotel- Machi Sushi - is excellent. I often eat sushi, and think that the sushi here is among the best that I have had.

We were absolutely happy with our stay here. The front desk personal was very friendly, and double checked that everything we needed was in our room with a courtesy call. I appreciated that it was clean and bug free in the room, as we took a gamble with some reviews mentioning cockroaches. Not one in sight!!! Also, the breakfast had tons of options for us and our kids. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

The stay was great except for two things- strong smell in both rooms and a large roach in one of the rooms. We reported the roach. We weren't offered another room unfortunately, but that was the only one incident during our stay, which makes us wonder if it was brought from outside cause it was crawling out of the goodie bag the front desk gave us.
