Cute Retro but Modern Rooms

Very cute room with updated amenities and a private patio that leads out to a grassy common area. The inside of the room had cute retro items and decor; like red retro looking mini fridge, red microwave, retro cooler (for you to use while visiting the pool?), and retro lampshades by the bed. The bathroom was modern and attractive. Bed was comfortable and clean. Overall, better than the bigger chains we’ve stayed in.

The hotel owner is very friendly and welcoming. The location is great and easy to get to. The room was tiny though. The bed mattress was a little soft for me. Still a nice property.

I loved nearly everything about this place it was quaint and cute. Had great quality though to the inside of the rooms. My only complaint is the size of the rooms it feels overly small and with 2 kids and a dog it was nice and packed but it was clean and well taken care of. I appreciated the retro modern styling it made my wife and I both smile. Staff was very friendly especially in the morning of our stay. I’m recommending this location to all my family who visits the area.

We liked the retro design of Foothills Motel in Auburn CA. We were also impressed with how clean the room was and the grounds as well. The pool waz a delight with lovely lawn and shade trees. Easy shopping and dinning nearby.

Stayed for two days. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The retro decor was really cute and made the stay special. Enjoyed the in room coffee and larger than normal mini fridge. Glen was at the front desk for both days and was lovely. Look forward to staying again when we’re in the area. Highly recommend for a unique experience!

Great sleep

A very convenient and comfortable stay with great bed and pillows and excellent shower. I had the room with two queen beds as a solo and as its not a large room it had no easy chair. Could be a problem for some. Nice retro decor

We absolutely loved staying here!!! The room was so charming with the retro cooler, fridge & microwave. The bathroom water pressure was great and loved the mirror for doing my makeup. We sat on the porch forever while enjoying the beautiful view of the trees along with the pool! Will definitely be back.

It was an enjoyable stay the check-in was quick. The room was very clean very comfortable beds no issues really and I enjoyed the retro vibe of the refrigerator microwave and coffee maker as well. Or I would note that the property was fairly quiet at night as well, which is also a major benefit to travelers trying to get some rest at night.

Stayed as a family of four for a quick overnight trip. The hotel has been recently remodeled and is a really cool mix of retro-modern. We really enjoyed this hotel and the onsite manager was super friendly and helped us out with what we needed. We will absolutely stay here again.

My fiancée and I stayed at The Foothills Motel on our way to the Donner Memorial site. We chose this specific motel based on the fantastic reviews and the pictures on the website! We would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff and amazing ambience. I especially liked the colorful chairs outside of all the rooms and the hanging bulb lights lit up at night

Oh my goodness! This place is so cute, and such a solid stay. The bed was comfy, the little patio we had was so cute, the towels were soft and the vibe was just precious. Excellent service. Parking is free. Pool looks nice! Fun bar just down the way. Will absolutely stay here again.
