I really wanted to give 5 stars because after my initial inspection, everything looked clean. BUT THEN I went to take a shower and upon pulling back the shower curtain O saw a used wash cloth on the shower rod that was missed by the cleaning crew. I was going to call the front desk the night of, but the phone in the room didn't work and it was labeled for room 423, but the room number was 418. I was so hopeful, but this small thing caused mistrust.

This was our first time staying here. It's on a pretty isolated corner near the highway, which means there's not much within a five minute walk. This is compounded by the fact that the "bar" inside for coffee, breakfast pastries, or an evening drink was rarely open. Also $28/night for an open-sky parking lot (rather than a covered garage) is pretty steep, especially since there are no other alternative options. The room was acceptable, but not outstanding. Bedside outlets for charging a phone did not work.

We loved our stay with the Sonesta. It was 3 minutes from our Granddaughter’s apartment at Georgia Tech, and we were in the area visiting her. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property clean, and safe. The only negative I would say is it is next to the interstate highway and the traffic is loud and can be heard in the room into the morning hours. It did wake us up quite a bit the first night but by the 2nd night we did not hear it so much. But we loved it was so close to Georgia Tech and would probably stay again for that reason. It was easy on and off the interstate and traveling around the campus from that location was a breeze!
