Scotland Away

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Athens. Clean, tidy, spacious room (2 bed studio) with large balcony. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of variety to suit everyone. Amazing views of the Acropolis.

The AC was not blowing cold air and the room was very hot. When I asked the front desk they said that when is not too hot they turn off the cold air. It was end of March and it was pretty hot. Also the elevator was broken all 3 night I stayed. Across the street there is a Wyndham for the same money and much better amenities.

Very good hotel. Small but adequate room. Nice balcony. Rooftop bar restaurant very nice. The street is very busy. We opened the door to cool off the room at night but the traffic sound was very distracting. A/C was not working well.

The room was small but fine. The room was very warm though and the air conditioning was turned off for the season and do we had to sleep with the patio door open every night to stay cool. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was great, super close to the metro so we took it back to the airport and saved us cab fare. Front desk Staff made a mistake and told us breakfast was at the 4th floor and when we are there they told us we weren’t supposed to be there and made us feel stupid with our plates full. I think she thought we were with a tour group. Liked that the tv could get Netflix

We loved the hotel in general and we would stay again. We paid extra for an Acropolis view room. Yes, we could see the Acropolis from our room, but it was quite a long way off. The 'cost' of booking such a room was that our room overlooked the busy plaza outside and in early March they had not yet made the AC operational. So, our choice was trying to sleep with the balcony door closed and the room being unbearably hot, or with the balcony door open to cool off the room, but the constant and loud traffic noise. Athenian drivers love to use their vehicle horns! A supposed 4 star hotel should make the room heating and cooling available all the time for guests. The breakfast was really, really good. We had dinner our first night on the top floor restaurant (Cloud 9?). Excellent food and we really enjoyed it. Hotel staff were excellent.
