Great quaint little lodge, close to nature/woods, comfortable bed, clean, packaged breakfast was provided, wifi, tv with some dvds, was easy to pick up keys and self check in. Would have liked an extra blanket, some storage (the closet was locked) and the rooms were really tiny but overall a positive experience.
It was a beautiful setting. A studio apartment, which we expected. The copper creek inn restaurant is 6 minutes away and opens at 0800, so having no kitchen wasn’t a problem. The only problem was, to contact the on-site manager, we had to call them on the phone but there was no landline in the room and our cell phones didn’t get reception there.

There really aren't very many choices for accommodations near Mt. Rainier. But this looked good online. It looked abandoned. Grass and weeds high.
Normally we find inns and B&Bs to be welcoming. No one was there to welcome us and our keys were taped to an inside door. Due to some situation, they don't serve breakfast. They just leave you a basket of packaged snacks.
We left before it was delivered to go on to our next stop on our drive down the West Coast and to find some breakfast.
Kind of my fault that I didn't check if rooms were handicapped accessible. I didn't need it when I booked the room. 20 steep steps to get up to our floor.

It was a low service property. There is only a part time person who is available on phone. If it was a motel it would be a 2 star motel. But it is a very clean motel. The bed sheets were old and cheap but clean. We enjoyed our stay as we checked in at 10 pm and left at 6 am. The groundskeeper was very helpful and gave us hit water for tea.
It was nice and quiet and well maintained. The AC is very old system and found it hard operating it until late night. It was going off regularly and getting cooling.

Charming standalone family run place with a history to stay at Mr. Rainier entrance. Excellent, friendly service. Note: it’s not a typical chain establishment.

Never saw the staff but checked in and out without issues. A place to stay after a long day of driving and hiking.
I would NOT recommend the only place close by to eat called wildberry.
Great property with wonderful character. Less than a mile from park entrance. Each room unique. Wifi was good. Watched a couple of movies from DVD collection. The breakfast basket was really appreciated in the remote location (thank you Jim). This is not a standard hotel with front desk.
