Room was cold but they did give us a portable heater. Constant lack of hot water - staff blamed the high occupancy at the hotel and stated that the one boiler was not enough to provide hot water to everyone, suggesting that we take showers at different times. Requested that the manager contact us twice and never received a call. Did get a slight discount on our four night stay. Overall a disappointing experience and will not stay here again.

Room was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative is that we were charged $60 pet fee (pet friendly hotel) which was not indicated on hotels.com site and we did not find out until checking-in.

You have to pay valet to park your vehicle because there’s no parking garage so pretty much trust your vehicle will be ok in another parking garage off premises or pay and tip for valet. Nice rooms very roomy but if you get a jetted tub. No hot water. Filled tub up and waited 1 hour for more hot water but still didn’t get hot

The room that we were assigned was a superior King with a pullout bed. The bedding was dirty and gritty feeling on the king bed. The bedding that we received (because it wasn’t already in the room) for the pullout bed was also dirty, and had some red stains on it. The shower had hair in it and the sink had soap scum around the sink. We expressed that to the management that the room was very unacceptable and dirty.

This hotel is in a great location for walking around the downtown area. Most staff (only 1 grumpy front desk employee out of all the staff encountered and she wasn't rude, just not very friendly) could not have been more helpful and friendly! We had the 1200 sq.ft. suite and it was very spacious and nicely decorated. A few small issues found were taken care of very quickly by staff. The room had great views of the people and businesses seen around downtown. We would definitely stay here again on any visit to Asheville!

We stayed at the Haywood Park Hotel two days before Hurricane Helene's destructive path caused catastrophic damage to lovely Asheville. Our stay was wonderful. Our room (more like an apartment!) was incredible. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was equipped with all the amenities one could desire, and the living area was spacious and nicely furnished. The whimsical touches reflecting the hotel's previous life as a department store made one appreciate the building's history. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We especially loved the check in champagne!! Wishing the good people of Asheville good health, safety and a full recovery.

It was in a historic building that was redone in a modern way. We had a huge suite. It was very clean and spacious. Our room was cleaning as soon as we left for breakfast. The front desk was so helpful with reccommendations and directions. The location was excellent! Walkable to everywhere downtown.
