I was traveling with my husband for the first time in Guatemala. This property is located in the heart of Antigua. The hotel is quiet, restful and accommodating to guests. From the moment you walk through their beautiful restored doors you are greeted very warmly by a staff person who makes you feel like you’ve come home after a journey. There is beautiful artwork everywhere. Plants and a beautiful courtyard with corridors holding furniture placed in different areas welcomes you to linger in the spaces and take in the natural beauty and architectural elements from the colonial period prevalent in Antigua Guatemala. The room we stayed in had two floors and two bathrooms. It was very comfortable and you could see that attention to detail both in the decor and amenities were carefully considered. We enjoyed sleeping upstairs and lounging in the lower living area when we weren’t out sighseeing. Breakfast options were all deliciously prepared by a chef in house and served with care and attention every morning. French toast with fresh berries and cream, eggs Benedict, and a typical plate of eggs, frijoles, cheese and plátanos were some options. Fresh fruit smoothies and even an oatmeal parfait with your choice of milk. The coffee was delicious as expected in Guatemala. The front desk was always very helpful in recommending places to eat lunch or dinner. They were also very helpful in finding activities for us to do and places to see. We loved everything about this hotel.

What a beautiful property centrally located. Very helpful staff. The best part was finding out that our room had a view of the volcano that erupts every 3-5 minutes and it’s clear of clouds in the morning. Just wow!

What an oasis in the center of Antigua. The service was exceptional. Staff care deeply about our wellbeing and comfort. One weekend night, there were multiple weddings in the city and other guests were loudly interrupted our peace. My husband mentioned during the breakfast that he could not sleep last night. The hotel front desk team took an immediately to upgrade us to a quieter room. The breakfast was exceptional, like a five stars restaurant quality. Truly, this is one of the best hotels we ever stayed. Centrally located, we were able to walk to everywhere.

Oasis in the city
Our stay at La Cruces Boutique Hotel was amazing. This hotel is truly an oasis in the city. I loved our room; however, the courtyard within the hotel was my favorite part. I felt such a sense of calm being at the hotel. The entire staff was so nice and accommodating. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Antigua.

Quick stay with a very nice location.
Very nice hotel. It gives you that full Guatemala experience. I honestly booked it because there are not many hotels that offer Air Conditioning and this one does. NO air conditioning is a deal breaker for me. This hotel has an amazing location in the center if the town. everything is walking distance. NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESIBLE! THE ONLY ISSUES i had was that my reservation was for room #8 but they put me in room #5. i did not notice until later on that evening. i called the front desk just to see the room that i was originally supposed to be in just to actually see it. they allowed me to view it. it was a bit nicer than the one they put us in but since we were only staying one night, and it was already in the evening, we decided to not move all of our luggage and stayed in the old room. They will tell you that some rooms fall under the same title but your reservation will actually have an assigned room number. ALL THAT TO SAY THIS...Just make sure they put you in the room you reserved. The breakfast can be way better. everything was bland. service was good but food was the weak point as well.
