You Get What You Pay For

In the hundreds of hotels I've stayed in, I've never had to pay a charge for early check-in. This was a first, so I chose to wait until 3 to check in. There were no wash cloths in the room. The phone was not hooked up and it had some weird cords I could not figure out how to hook it up. I had to go downstairs to the office to ask for washcloths. I'm sure the description said they had free breakfast, but when asked they said they no longer serve breakfast. Stayed 2 nights and we had to take our wet towels to the office to request fresh towels. The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. Only 2 cups for coffee and they were not replaced the second day.

We needed a last minute reservation and was able to make it online. We needed to accommodate my dog so that was a bonus. When we arrived I waited 15 minutes for someone at the front desk to check me in. No smoking signs are everywhere and fines are posted for smoking in the rooms yet our room reeked of smoke. No hangers and there was one plastic cup for the two of us. The AC worked well so that was a plus.

Poor reception

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are spacious and clean. However, the front desk service was not great. I called per the recommendation on the website to let the staff know I was coming. Said I would be there in a few minutes. Got to hotel in 10 minutes from phone call and staff was at lunch. I waited for 40 minutes to check in and then I was given a room far away from parking when the hotel was not busy. Will not stay again for these reasons.

First they checked me into an already-occupied room. And the second day my keys stopped working, despite it being a 2-night stay, and I had to get new ones made. And the WiFi didn't work for the entire duration of the stay. This was a terrible hotel experience.
