The hotel is in a good location in town. It was probably nice in the 1970’s but is now tired and dated. It is closed in the winter and is getting a new lease on life being used by the cruise ship guests either before or after so most don’t t have to stay long. Nice staff but they were still getting up to speed as the hotel only reopened mid may.

I would not recommend especially if you have a car. They charge $40 PER night but don't mention it on their website. The lobby is nice but the room is mediocre at best. Our check in person was nice. Neighborhood is not for those who aren't used to a distressed neighborhood. View from our 12th floor room is pretty nice though.

The property has very limited parking and you have to pay $40 dollars to park or park in the street. I did not stay at the property. It was non-refundable and I was very disappointed. They had turned their parking lot into a pay one.

Centrally located in downtown Anchorage. Walkable dining options. Free parking and Wi-Fi. On the day ofnour stay the Staff was overwhelemed by the number of checkins and non-working room access cards. We did not have a key card during the duration of our stay of 6hrs. And had to be assisted by staff with master-key to be let in each time. Asked for partial refund but was told since this is booked via Expedia they cannot help with refund or discount. Hence the 2 star review.

Overall we were satisfied with our one night stay. Pros: The hotel is near the downtown transit center and good restaurants. The staff is polite and helpful. My room has a balcony with views of the lake. Cons : the toilet bowl was not very clean. complementary breakfast offerings are mediocre. Overall, we had a pleasant one-night stay at this hotel. Pros: The hotel’s location near the downtown transit center and its proximity to good restaurants were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Additionally, my room had a balcony with beautiful views of the lake. Cons: However, the toilet bowl was not very clean, and the complimentary breakfast offerings were mediocre.

Property was clean and tidy. Staff is pretty good but there were a few hiccups. There's a limited amount of parking spots owned by the hotel which is only in the front. You have to pay for parking, either with the hotel with a permit pass ($40-$50 a day)(you also have to ask the staff for this), or a day pass for parking with the charge stall ($31 a day). Overall the property and staff is good just a few minor hiccups and very confusing parking. 3/5 stars

Unsatisfied with hotel.

Information we were supposed to receive at check in was not available, no soap at bathroom sink, no cups for coffee pot in room, no bath mat for bathroom even though sign said up in bathtub, no pad and pen in room and tiles need fixing in bathroom. Girls at front desk at evening check in spoke very little understandable english.

Old, dated, $40/day for parking, really. Sketchy downtown after dark, but otherwise a great location. Bed was comfy, but streets below were a dragstrip at night. That and noisy guests made sleep tough.
