Just needs an update, but I’ll be back
I was in town for a three night stay for a conference. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The shuttle was really great to have back-and-forth to the conference downtown. It’s my understanding per the front desk, that the hotel is due for an update by the new owner Issues within my room: bathroom tile broken, the toilet handle fell off while flushing, I could not figure out how to turn the ceiling fan off. The ice machine across the hall did not work. The room finishes just seem old and worn however, the bed was clean and comfortable , and as I said, the staff was excellent. It just needs a little makeover and upgrading. I’ll be back again.

The as you walked in smelled lile mothballs, there was hair in the bed, on the sink, and in the towels that were not mine. Thank Goodess i brought my own towels and Wash cloths.

This property is not within walking distance of downtown as it was advertised. The window in our room was completely cracked all the way across and taped over. We asked that our room be cleaned and that never happened. The carpet was disgusting as was the tub. However, Duane, the shuttle driver, was phenomenal as were the front desk workers.

It is an old building. The bathroom needs help. The breakfast could use a better selection of pastry’s and a waffle marker would be nice. The surroundings seemed safe to me never felt uncomfortable. Worked for what we needed it for. Would stay again. Nothing special but nothing so bad that I would stay away from.

the check in desk was friendly and kind. But the cleaning staff needs improvement. we were in the King suit and were disappointed that our room was barely cleaned. We think that they only changed the sheets and made the bed. The toilet was dirty and we had to clean it before use. The shower had hair in it and the tub needed cleaning. There was what looked to be a bloody hand print by the door. The next morning my husband went down to the breakfast. There was no waffles, no forks to eat our eggs and only two cereals to choose from.

The handicap bath very good. The ice machine on second floor didn't work. No forks for breakfast, try to eat eggs with a spoon. The beds mattresses are not very comfortable hard soft. Otherwise staff was nice and very helpful.

Overall not so great. The parking lot was atrocious. Trying to get out i scratched my side of my car because construction equipment and a van blocked getting out. The area they have for smoking is just outside the entrance. That sucked. The front desk guy was very nice and checked us in as soon as he could. The room looked clean initially, upon further discovery we saw toenails in the carpet and the pillows smelt like dirty hair. The breakfast was not so great either.

The address location said "Downtown" but this hotel is located next to the Alaska Railway. One night the trains blew their whistels 30 times. Not a good nights' rest. The breatfast was very sparse and basic. Coffee options were not close. the one that was had so so coffee and limted pastries. The staff were very helpful though and quit lovely.
