The hotel was under repair/renovation. That should have been listed on the Expedia property search. No elevator. That should be on the property search.

The staff was wonderful and the room was fine. Parking was horrible though. There were 4 choices given to us at check in. Park in the street for free (but car must be moved by 6 a.m., park in the city parking garage across the street for $2 per hour, pay $25 for them to park it in a lot or pay $15 for the lot right behind the hotel. We opted for the $15....what we werent told is that they are doing construction which is also using that lot and area was mostly blocked off so we had to trek all of our stuff around the blocked iff construction area and of course it was raining so it was not ideal as the baxk doors to the hotel was for construction crew only. Then the next day the main entrance was closed and we had to use a mid hotel door which made the walk even further. Not horrible just very inconvenient and wish we had been better informed on that aspect

Comfortable and attractive room
The Aviator Hotel is being remodeled and very attractively. Our room was beautifully and uniquely styled and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and kind. It was walkable to many places, especially the White Spot cafe (breakfast), Anchorage Museum, Visitors Center, and bike rental. Also to Humpy’s restaurant, but that walk felt a little sketchy at 9 pm.
Warm lighting, attractive furnishings.
Not your typical closet. Nice seating area too.

Understand the hotel is under renovations so some features and amenities were not available but it was a very clean and well organized hotel, the staff were friendly and it was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants.

U Der construction, but rooms are large and comfortable. Seems to be difficult to get the room temp below about 70. Some noise from multiple trains in the night.

This was a nice place to stay, I used it as home base for an Alaska holiday. I am surprised that there was a $5 charge on my credit card for each night I stayed (4 nights =20$ !). this was a charge that was NOT authorized on my card, when I called about it, I was told it is a special charge, even tho there is no mention of this on the website, or when I booked or even when I checked in. I am in the process of having this charge removed from my credit card. Other wise, it's a great location, comfortable room and very nice bathroom.

Nice new hotel. Rooms were nicely furnished. Cool vibe. There is a charge for parking that isnt very secure. We had no problems and actually found a parking space on the street. Free after 6 and before 8:00 a.m. I wish they had recycling available.

Undergoing renovations but the rooms are very nice, large and the hotel is close to lots of restaurants, etc. Maybe the only downside is that you can hear the trains when the blow their horns

No elevator. Most rooms on second floor. Felt bad for the doorman as we really needed help getting the bags upstairs. He said he did not change of a twenty. Old trick. I did not feel good about being cheated. Hotel cost $440. 3 People sleeping outside. Glad I was not traveling alone. Anchorage is full of disabled and homeless people in the street. Was expecting better. Limited dinner options. Take the red eye and get out of Anchorage.
