My stay at the Van Der Valk hotel was excellent!! Beautiful hotel, big room, nice pool & the staff are all so friendly, kind & helpful!! Had dinner at the restaurant & it was delicious, great staff there as well. Very much enjoyed & will absolutely book again!

Weird room design. The toilet and the shower doesn't lock. And the shower leaks water outside, if you are not careful. The staff is friendly and the facility is really nice. Nice pool and Sauna.

Beautiful hotel! So glad we booked it. Wish we were there longer than one night. Very large room. Beautiful artwork, hallways, restaurant, bar area. Stunning! Loved the shuttle service. There is nothing around this hotel but it in itself is worth the visit.

Great free shuttle & beautiful modern room. BUT getting off the bus there's no one line. A couple of us tried to start a line, but then others coming in after us would just walk up to staff who were NOT looking at the line that had started and would simply start registering whomever came up and got their attention. Since the woman at the far end on the right looked down the entire time, I did not approach her because generally at other hotels, staff will look up to the line and motion for the next customer to come up. Instead it was random, staff would help whomever walked in from the sides. It was frustrating! When I moved back into the line (because the next available staff member helped someone who'd just come in from the side) someone behind me complained that I was cutting the line. She'd just come in and I tried to explain that others were cutting in from the side, so that I was re-entering the line, but she continued complaining. When someone finally helped me, I asked why staff doesn't have some type of a line system. She responded that they tried it once but it didn't work. I replied, this random ad-hoc DEFINITELY DOESN'T WORK. We're coming off a long flight and travel day and this is the last thing we want to deal with.

A beautiful hotel! The bar was lovely and the restaurant served great food! Table decor or a single rose that measured almost 6 inches wide was fascinating. The room was very large overlooking the landscape in the back of the property and the Dutch Master touches in the room were wonderful! The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. Shuttle was on time and much needed! I enjoyed reading about the Valk family and their hotels. We will definitely look for their hotels as we travel.

Dinners were excellent and reasonably priced. Food service fast but delay in getting check at meal end. The breakfast buffet was marvelous, but i wish there had been a small (continental ?) option somewhere as it was too much for my extended stay
